Here is video I took last Christmas of the Light Show at Macy's, formerly Wanamakers. Every Christmas my family would make the trek into the city, see the light show, Santa and the toy department that had a train that you could sit in and circle above the shop. Very cool memories.

How to Draw
I am pleased to announce some pretty cool non-wedding video news. Looks like I'll be working with one of the Miami Ink stars, Chris Garver in a series of How To videos. I'm currently working on the pilot now if all goes well should have another eight or nine down the road. I'll post some video captures later this week or next week. This first video is how to draw tattoos.

Lynlee & James Time Lapse
I recently shot a wedding up in North Jersey in a ballroom with changing colored walls. It was a very cool effect. I set up a single camera to capture the movement and sped it up. Here's a taste.

Fully High Def Capable
I've been hesitant to announce my HD capablities since of my two cameras only one was HD, but now with two HD cameras I can record 100% HD. If only someone would win the Blu-Ray HD-DVD battle to make delivery simple.

Sands Atlantic City
I shot some video of the Sands' implosion on Oct 18, 2007. I put some music behind it that I thought went well with the fireworks. The end is the actual audio. As a former employee of the Sands it was pretty cool to watch turn to ash. Actual video was shot in HD which is much more dramatic. Once the fireworks started there are no edits

Lisa & Scott's Wedding
Here are a couple shots from the video I shot at Lisa & Scott's wedding held at Valley Green. A beautiful day all around. I still have a bit of editing to do but will have it up in the next day or so.

Atlantic City Airshow
Recently AC hosted the Atlantic City airshow. It's getting bigger and bigger each year and this year was the most impressive to date. I rode my bike over and filmed a good portion of it, although I didn't wait around for the Thunderbirds as I've seen them a few times previous from my office window.
Once I took a look at the footage I realized how dull it is so I edited it down and set it to a Junior Boys song. Enjoy.

YouTube
I've used YouTube for all my non-wedding videos for a long time. I love the accessability, but hate the quality. I've finally relented and starting placing all my wedding highlights on there as well.
You can check them out here.

As I do more I'll upload them along with a bit of director commentary for each as well.

Summer Movies
I must be getting old but I don't yearn in anticipation for the new summer movies like I used to. I'll blame Credit Cards and Student Loans. Pre-Debt and jobs life was grand. I do look forward to The Bourne Ultimatum.
Here's a link to the trailer in glorious quicktime.

EDIT: Why does Apple have a ipod version for download? It's kinda pointless to download a commercial and then transfer the video to the ipod....and I'm someone who has a video ipod.

Jen & Collin
Just finished another wedding video. I'm getting quicker at editing them and giving myself more time to be creative with it. I gave the most recent one a different type of intro using some music from American Beauty.

Weddings
Shot two weddings this past weekend. One was in Phoenixville / King of Prussia and the other was down by the Philadelphia Airport. I should have footage from these up in a few weeks but in the meantime you can check out two of my latest edits.

The second link was a bit of a rush unfortunately I didn't have a chance to really flush out some of the artsy aspects that I wanted, but overall I'm very happy with both.

Wedding Videography
Had two very nice weddings this weekend to film. One was up in Central Jersey/New Hope and the second was at the Sheraton City Center in Philadelphia.
I'd never been to Peddler's Village but it seemed like a very nice little shopping area and the rooftop dining area at the Sheraton was nothing short of spectacular. It probably has the best view of the new Circ Tower / Franklin Institute / Art Museum
I also finished editing my first wedding video for this summer season. You can check it out here.

My Video made it on The Jimmy Kimmel Show
Okay this is an odd story. I have a bunch of videos up on YouTube. Some are just dumb and others had some thought behind it. What tends to happen the dumb videos get more attention than the "smart" ones.
Well today I received some phone calls that The Jimmy Kimmel Show used one of my dumb videos on last night's show.
Here is the video of the Kimmel Show.
Here is my original video.
They didn't asked for my rights before using the video and I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's cool they picked it nonetheless.

Neill Blomkamp
Neill Blomkamp is a 3-D artist/filmmaker who was set to direct the Halo movie. That hasn't happened but I still think his shorts are among the best on the web. Below is his movie Yellow. I'm looking forward to hearing what his first feature will be.

Barren Pines
Quick update on the next short I'm working on. I hope to have a finished script in the next week. Then I'll map out a shooting schedule and see what and who'll we need. I'm estimating the finished film will be in the 15-20 minute range.
I have about 30 events scheduled for videography between now and November so trying to fit in a shoot will be tricky.
Once I get the script registered I'll post a link to where you can read it.

The Devil Wears Prada - DVD Mini Review
My wife had been looking forward to watching this movie for a while, so I broke down and moved it up the Netflix queue. I had it about 80 or so for the last month. I watched it an have no idea how that movie was considered good or Streep was nominated for an Oscar. The story was predictable, the acting stilted (such as the dad-wtf was that), and the payoff dumb.
I still don't know why there are all these movies that make smart women strive to do none smart jobs. Such as movies where the female 'nerd' wants to be a figure skater or a dancer. There are a few of these out there. What is the purpose of telling a young woman that you'll get no where by being smart. But that's what I felt by watching this movie. Of course at the end she got the smart job (albeit by some stuff she wrote in college which would never happen) Forget it. Not worth it.

My Cat Vs. Jack Nicholson
I recently posted a video of My Cat taking on Jack Nicholson in a verbal spat. In case you were wondering the film that was from is Carnal Knowledge. A pretty decent film, but the scene shown was probably the best part of the film.
Here is the clip in question.
