Erin + James

Erin and James' wedding was a first for me; a Tim Burton themed wedding. From the amazing multi-tiered cake and spider accessories to the Jack-o-lantern center pieces everything in the reception room had a Corpse Bride/Nightmare Before Christmas feel, while the ceremony remained more traditional. That gave me the opportunity to try out a couple things like new fonts and lighting for their videos. For the highlight video I even used a song entitled "The Funeral" by Band of Horses - although, lyrically speaking the song is anything but a downer.

Here is that aforementioned video. Monica filmed second camera for me which was a great help and got some beautiful shots.

Karen + Andrew

Here's a wedding video I did for Karen and Andrew. They were married at Goshen Baptist Church and had their reception at the Springfield Country Club, which is not the country club on the Simpsons I learned :-) They were one of the nicest couples I have been lucky enough to work with.

Rachael & Max - Full Ceremony

One of the perks of using Vimeo to post video is large uploads. I have dozens of short highlight films on Vimeo but nothing really beyond that, until today. Rachael and Max's wedding at Bonnet Island was beautiful affair. The weather was perfect and the ceremony was extraordinary. There was great natural light. Natural light is the best friend of any videographer.

I hope to in the coming months post more examples including Preceremony and Reception footage. So stay tuned.

End of the Wedding Season

Last weekend I shot the last wedding for 2008. At least it appears that way. It was a great year and I look forward to editing the 10 weddings I have left. 2008 was a lot smoother than 07 mostly due to experience. I should hope next year will be even better.

2009 looks to be another great year. ALong with the weddings, I am working on a few tv pilots that I hope to sell as a package. I have a couple short film projects and still working freelance for TV. I'm also hoping begining Winter 09-10 I'll be shooting weddings in California 3-4 months a year. As a former Californian I long for the warm (and dry) weather, this time of year. We'll see how it goes. It won't affect any current of future projects but will help me to exband my horizons a bit.

Melissa + Bruce

Unfortunetly, I was booked so I was unable to shoot Melissa and Bruce's wedding but I was fortunate they chose me anyway. Kris King shot some awesome footage and the weather held out so they were able to use the Frelinghuysen Arboretum in Morristown, NJ before heading over to the Highlawn Pavilion for the ceremony and reception.

Phillies Parade

Last weeks Phillies' win was the capper of a great summer. I brought my Nikon D90 with me and shot a bunch of photos & video of the World Series parade and subsequent celebration at Citizen's Bank Park. I edited them together and came up with this little video.

I was able to take a couple days off and enjoy Cape May a bit. I took lots of photos and really taking the time to appreciate digital photography. I am a photographer at heart, so holding a still camera as opposed to video feels nice.

Various Pictures

Here are some shots from a couple shoots I did up in New York. I shot Erin Burnett at CNBC for a promo they were doing and was able to be on the floor of the Stock Exchange. Then for a another commercial we shot at Grand Central Station and in a MetroNorth Train. Both shoots were incredibly smooth despite the intense locations. This is one of the few times you'll see me on this site. Not real comfortable in front of a camera.

New Projects

This summer I hoped to film a short film set in the Pine Barrens this summer but it doesn't look like the schedule will allow for it. I still have a couple other projects I'm involved with. One was a pilot for a new game show. We filmed the pilot over the weekend and I took a lot of footage that I hope to post as soon as I'm no longer bound by non-disclosure.

Next week I'll be in Manhattan working on a commericial for CNBC. I get to try out a new camera and I'm excited to be back in the city.

A couple weeks back I filmed Jill and Dan's wedding which was held at the family home in Pottstown. It was an inspired location and despite 100 degree heat was a beautiful day.

Amanda & Mike highlight film

It's been a busy week and its still not over, I leave in a few hours for a wedding up near New York. Before leaving I wanted to post a new highlight film before leaving. Amanada and Mike were a great couple with the best first dance. I tried to incorporate some of the dance in highlights video. With tornado warnings in the area the wedding moved inside without missing a beat.

Afton and Rodney's Highlight Film

I filmed Afton and Rodney's wedding a few weeks ago at the Swedish Musuem. The weather and location were ideal. I'm looking forward to going back and checking out the area soon. Anyway, I had some great footage to work with and they both were a lot of fun with great families. Knowing Rodney's love of reggae I found a jazz cover of "Is it Love" to use and I think it works pretty well.

Iceland Video

My wife and I went to Iceland back in April. It was an awesome experience; one that I look forward to repeating. On the photography front my wife shot some really cool stuff and now has been bitten by the bug. On the video side. 75mph winds outside of Reykjavik made it tough to keep still. It was pretty wild really. The downside is that I was pretty disappointed by the footage but still capture some of the remoteness of the island nation.

Amy and Tim for Dollface Studios

I shot Jackie & Bob's wedding a couple weeks ago. They had a fun Hawaiian-themed wedding and I hope I captured the emotions of the day. Jackie loved Israel Kamakawiwo Ole's version of Somewhere over the Rainbow and asked me to use it for the highlight video. I think it was a great match and allowed me to use more footage that I typically would.

May Update

Hi Everyone. Just wanted to post what's going on at xposedfilm. May has been a jam packed month. I've been able to visit some pretty cool places and film some really fun couples. June will be equally busy. I have a half-dozen weddings to edit already but really want them to be special so I'm not rushing them. I hope to have all my May weddings edited by July 1...Let's hope.

I hope everyone likes Vimeo rather than continue using Youtube. I may end up posting on both but Vimeo's HD option is very cool.

I've been working on a short film that I hope to film in June. It looks like it'll actually end up being August. It'll be a depature from my wedding videos for sure , but we'll see. I hope to have it done and edited for festivals by the end of the year.

I will be in Iceland all next week doing an HD Demo DVD. I'll be back in the office on April 20th.

Tina & Rick

Here is a video I shot a couple weeks back in Malaga & Turnersville NJ. Tina and Rick where a fun couple and I had a great time shooting and editing it. They picked the music for the videos and I think it worked perfectly. The first song is from INGRID MICHAELSON entitled "The Way I Am". The second song is Hellogoodbye's Oh it is love.

Blu-Ray

I'm glad the HD-DVD vs Blu Ray war is over. That means I can concentrate on HD delivery in 2008 and offer it to you in 2009. My cameras are in HD already so I'm ahead of game, but it'll be great to offer you a way to watch your film in the high possible resolution.

Photography

I finally created a flickr account today and added some photos of trips I've taken. I'll be added a bunch of stills from videos I'vd done over the last year as well. Check it out.

2007 & 2008

I've wrapped all my 2007 projects and I'm now looking forward to an insanely busy 2008. I've booked a ton of weddings and other projects already. I've filled my summer already and have a few dates available for the fall. Prices will be changing at the end of this week, but if you already have an estimate I'll be honoring those.
