Wedding Videography

Had two very nice weddings this weekend to film. One was up in Central Jersey/New Hope and the second was at the Sheraton City Center in Philadelphia.

I'd never been to Peddler's Village but it seemed like a very nice little shopping area and the rooftop dining area at the Sheraton was nothing short of spectacular. It probably has the best view of the new Circ Tower / Franklin Institute / Art Museum

I also finished editing my first wedding video for this summer season. You can check it out here.

My Video made it on The Jimmy Kimmel Show

Okay this is an odd story. I have a bunch of videos up on YouTube. Some are just dumb and others had some thought behind it. What tends to happen the dumb videos get more attention than the "smart" ones.

Well today I received some phone calls that The Jimmy Kimmel Show used one of my dumb videos on last night's show.

Here is the video of the Kimmel Show.

Here is my original video.

They didn't asked for my rights before using the video and I'm not sure how I feel about that. It's cool they picked it nonetheless.

Neill Blomkamp

Neill Blomkamp is a 3-D artist/filmmaker who was set to direct the Halo movie. That hasn't happened but I still think his shorts are among the best on the web. Below is his movie Yellow. I'm looking forward to hearing what his first feature will be.

Barren Pines

Quick update on the next short I'm working on. I hope to have a finished script in the next week. Then I'll map out a shooting schedule and see what and who'll we need. I'm estimating the finished film will be in the 15-20 minute range.

I have about 30 events scheduled for videography between now and November so trying to fit in a shoot will be tricky.

Once I get the script registered I'll post a link to where you can read it.

The Devil Wears Prada - DVD Mini Review

My wife had been looking forward to watching this movie for a while, so I broke down and moved it up the Netflix queue. I had it about 80 or so for the last month. I watched it an have no idea how that movie was considered good or Streep was nominated for an Oscar. The story was predictable, the acting stilted (such as the dad-wtf was that), and the payoff dumb.

I still don't know why there are all these movies that make smart women strive to do none smart jobs. Such as movies where the female 'nerd' wants to be a figure skater or a dancer. There are a few of these out there. What is the purpose of telling a young woman that you'll get no where by being smart. But that's what I felt by watching this movie. Of course at the end she got the smart job (albeit by some stuff she wrote in college which would never happen) Forget it. Not worth it.

My Cat Vs. Jack Nicholson

I recently posted a video of My Cat taking on Jack Nicholson in a verbal spat. In case you were wondering the film that was from is Carnal Knowledge. A pretty decent film, but the scene shown was probably the best part of the film.

Here is the clip in question.
