Things are heating up

It's been a relatively quite spring. It's given me time to check out new equipment and focus a bit on having fun with photography. Here are a couple offerings from the last month or so. I have thousands of pics up on my flickr page. Link is available on the right.

April Stuff

After a somewhat slow start, the summer is booking up fast. It should be an exciting season with weddings from New York City to Northern California. It's fun checking out new places and meeting great couples every week and to think just a couple years ago I was working in a casino.

I haven't had a chance to post anything recently, because I really haven't had a chance to film anything. It's been busy on the non-wedding film work front and a great way to bring some of those techniques to your wedding films. I have some great ideas and can't wait we hit the wedding season full speed.

I'm also looking for couples to do a "love story" basically a non-wedding music video. But from what I've seen these are really cliched so I'd want to get creative with it and do some really fun stuff. Let me know if you are interested.

Marcy & Greg

These guys were a great couple and with Darah and Siobhan of Dollface doing the photography there was a lot of creativity that went into the day. I took that ball and ran with it doing one my funkiest edits yet. I may post a slow edit as well, but for now her is Marcy and Greg's wedding set to Vampire Weekend.

7.1 Random shots

I turned my d90 into a HD video camera a few times over the last weeks and set it to music. It has a couple cool features on the camera but has some serious drawbacks. For the price you can't beat it though.

March Update

So, I've fallen behind in my 52 week video project but have exchanged that delay with a brand new website. In the past I was a web site designer but have left those days behind. The new site allows for easy changes and no website design on my part. It's a beautiful thing. Of course any comments on the site or suggestions are always welcome.

Here is a film I shot for Kristen and William. I've been waiting to use this song for a long while, but waiting for the right couple. When I heard Arcade Fire playing before the ceremony I jumped on the opportunity. Here it is. Enjoy.
